Tropical Storm Debby is having a significant impact on the southeastern United States. The ports of Savannah, Charleston, and Wilmington are experiencing substantial disruptions as the storm moves slowly through the region, bringing heavy rains and strong winds.

Savannah, Georgia The Port of Savannah halted cargo operations on Monday afternoon and remained shut through Tuesday due to the risk of flooding and strong winds. Georgia Ports reports that all terminals should reopen on Wednesday.

Charleston, South Carolina The South Carolina Ports Authority is reporting that the port of Charleston is open but will have reduced gate hours on Wednesday.  The port faced delays due to heavy rainfall and localized flooding, which impacted road access and port facilities. More updates are expected tomorrow as the storm makes its way up the coast.

Wilmington, North Carolina North Carolina Ports is advising that Wilmington harbor will be closed to vessel traffic Wednesday but port facilities are open and operating normal hours. They are monitoring the situation and will notify the public if operational changes are necessary.
